Universal Banker   $17 - $18/hour 

Universal Banker will perform the full range of Teller and Personal Banker duties.  Responsible for delivering extraordinary service to both internal and external clients.  Primarily responsible for building and retaining relationships with current and prospective clients, promoting all bank products and services and responding to simple and complex customer inquiries or service requests.  Assist customers with their deposit needs to include opening and closing of deposit accounts and services.

AVP – Mortgage Loan Officer

Develops, manages, and services all of the financial needs of an assigned loan portfolio. Enhances relationships by cross-selling the bank’s products and services. Develops new relationships from referrals and outside calling efforts. Provide lending services relating to the extension of primarily consumer credit to Bank’s customers in accordance with established Bank policies. Effective customer-service-oriented performance, professionalism and trustworthiness required to maintain company image.  Actively supports management and organizational goals by focusing on Farmers & Merchants State Banks core values and purpose.

  • Interviews and counsels prospective loan customers including explaining loan options (rates, types of loan options, repayment lengths).
  • Verify customer credit by completing appropriate credit checks and performing financial ratios to determine if customer is a credit risk.
  • Determine if customer should be advanced loan credit.
  • Prepares appropriate documentation substantiating decisions to advance credit.
  • Prepares documentation recommending a decision to advance credit.
  • Coordinates loan processing including preparing documentation necessary for approved loan requests.
  • Ensure that bank loan policies are adhered to.
  • Responsible for collection activities relating to delinquent loans.
  • Recommend action to be taken including prepare letters, notices and filing small claim court actions, as well as replevin and foreclosure proceedings.
  • Responsible for keeping up to date on secondary market guidelines, as well as keeping all Lenders informed of same. 
  • Assist in training of new mortgage lenders. 
  • Review pricing of secondary market loans with Senior Lender.
  • Participate in Officer call program, with the primary goal of developing and maintaining more in-depth relationships with both customers and prospects to enhance the overall banking experience, through cross-sales, financial counseling, referrals and adherence to the core values of F&M.

Producing Mortgage Sales Manager

Responds to advanced customer needs, via telephone or email, focusing on answering inquiries for mortgage loans. Assesses customer needs and cross sells additional bank products. In addition, responsible for the overall production of the team and the day-to-day management of each Direct Channel Loan Originator. Effectively partner with Fulfillment Operations to drive closed volume. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. Actively supports management and organizational goals by focusing on Farmers & Merchants State Banks core values and purpose. Interviews and counsels prospective loan customers including explaining loan options (rates, types of loan options, repayment lengths).

  • Originating Mortgage loans in compliance with company regulatory policies.
  • Attending Real Estate office sales meetings and working with agents.
  • Identifying business development opportunities for Farmers and Merchants State Bank.
  • Participating in industry related events.
  • Promoting business for the Bank and encouraging origination staff to cross-sell products from other Bank business lines.
  • Build strategic and tactical plans for driving volume growth in assigned area.
  • Attending regular Manager Meetings and Loan Committee Meetings.
  • Holding sales meetings with the Loan Officer’s (Quarterly, at minimum).
  • Obeying all applicable Federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Supervisory Responsibilities
    • Manage a team of at least 3 loan originators.
    • Formulating and communicating effective sales strategies.
    • Recruiting and retaining Loan Officers.
    • Establishing and tracking sales goals for Loan Officers.
    • Acting as liaison between Loan Officers and Bank Staff.
